Design of electrical and electronic systems for new build and upgrade projects, including custom electrical panels and bus bars.

Full documentation including schematics, bills of material, installation notes and any programming or configuration files necessary.

Documentation using latest versions of CAD software as appropriate:

  • AutoCAD Fusion for 3D modeling

  • AutoCAD Electrical for schematic drawings,

  • Rhino 7 for collaborative work with designers and naval architects

  • Manufacturer's configuration packages for digital switching systems and networked power control.

Design work conforms to the following where required:

  • American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules for Building and Classing Part 4

  • ABS Requirements for use of Lithium-Ion Batteries in the Marine and Offshore Industries

  • Marine and Coastguard Agency Marine Guidance Note 280 (M)

  • American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards

  • National Marine Electronics Association installation standards

Example Design

We provided detailed design documentation and supervised the installation of the electrical and electronic systems on this 72' performance cruising catamaran. This included:

  • Lewmar electric windlasses.

  • CZone distributed digital switching for house loads.

  • 36 panel solar array.

  • Sleipner retractable bow thruster.
